Holidays, Naughty or Nice?

With holidays fast approaching, there comes a certain level of anxiety for me. Are we with my family or my husbands? Like most couples we try to be fair and alternate every year, but now that I have four children, six of us total, that's a squad of folks to just stop by any house. When are we going to start making our own traditions as a family, too? This is where advanced planning and finding a balance comes into play. As the girls get older and have become very busy, their needs have changed. We're literally bringing a play area for them where ever we go. So that they can be contained and occupied. I've tried to pack light and not bring the play yard/gate but that meant being on duty 100% of the time and the girls having to be hovered over for fear they'll get into something or put something in their mouths. AKA your house is not baby proofed.

Family photos are an integral part of any holiday and new family tradition. Of course we attempt to take as many as we can so we can look back on the day and fondly reminisce. So, as if dressing myself isn't hard enough with what fits versus what use to fit. I have a five year old and three baby girls to dress, in festive, holiday clothes. Not only does Carter's have affordable prices and good deals, but the variety of styles are perfect for any holiday moment and I can easily coordinate the triplets with Big Brother Kanon. Leading up to Thanksgiving, I'll make sure we have a holiday outfit, but I will also do everything in my power to take advantage of the Black Friday deals and the coupons Carter's offers. This year, Carter's will have Black Friday deals beginning November 17th, so I can get a jump on buying my baby holiday clothes and any holiday gifts. Thank goodness I can start shopping early and online because it becomes more hectic the closer it gets to the actual holidays. Shopping with four kids is a whole other blog post and never easy. Growing up, we always had new pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve and continuing this tradition with our children, feels great. As we go into this holiday season, I can honestly say it will be NICE not NAUGHTY ;). We are soon to say goodbye to this year and usher in a new one, let us all remember what is most important. Our families and our cherished memories of family who are no longer with us. The health, well being and safety of our children, loved ones and always the promise of a better day.
