Busy Week
Happy Friday and July 1st, I'm still 23 weeks!!!
It's been a very busy week for Bryant & myself. Between, work, my doctor appointment, trying to get the invitations out for the shower and finalizing the location plans, I haven't had the time to write and catch everyone up!
My week started out with a group interview at work to help find a person to cover me while I'm out on maternity leave. Monday's interview left me pretty unsure if we were going to find someone that would be a good fit. By Wednesday, we had interviewed two more people and out of them both, I think we found a winner. The good thing is we'll be freelancing this person for a few months, so we'll be able to see if they're a good fit. All this will take place while I'm still working for these next few months, so without having to totally commit to this person, would be a good thing. I'm going to start training my replacement at some point, so I'll be adding that to my already busy schedule.
Tuesday was my OB doctors appointment. I always go to these without Bryant. This particular doctor I've seen before. Appointments are fairly basic...weight, urine and measurements, a few updates, ultra sound to see the heart beats and everything was normal. A great appointment if you ask me, up until right after the ultrasound, the doctor wanted to make sure that I understood my options after 26 weeks. All my doctors, the high risk and OBGYN's want to monitor me more frequently. This is because they are saying Baby B & C are in the same sack. After 26 weeks they want to monitor me daily. I have two options: Inpatient, which is check into a hospital, to get the babies heart beats monitored three times a day for the remaining six weeks, until my 32 weeks scheduled C-section; or Outpatient, which is come to the hospital once a day for the next six weeks, and have the babies heartbeats monitored daily. I may have touched on this in a previous post, but this doctor, was more than trying to sell me on the inpatient option. I felt she was borderline shaming me, it brought me to tears. She asked if I understood what the options were before, I not only told her yes, but explained it to her... so after that she reiterated the options. I told her in a perfect world, if I didn't have a life, a child, a job and a busy mind, I could lay in a hospital for 6 weeks to get checked, but I don't. Call it fear, but what quality of life would that be for my mind, body and soul, not to mention that hospitals aren't the cleanest, but we'll have to take it day by day as the weeks wear on.
Needless to say, I thought we were going to be signing the contact for the shower, but that got pushed back to Thursday, and all the while I'm attending to the shower invitations, getting them addressed, stuffed and mailed. Wednesday arrived and I wanted to watch the show Big Brother, so that meant I had three hours to pick up Kanon from school, go grocery shopping and fix dinner so he and I could eat and be showered and him in the bed, with a bedtime story, so that I could be in front of the TV by 8pm...whew! My guilty pleasure during the summer, three days a week is Big Brother.
Thursday, aside from work, making sure Bryant was at the center for the baby shower contract signing by 1:00pm was a challenge. Some days he doesn't even get to bed and sleep until that time, so luckily he was up and present to sign and put the security deposit down. Now that is crossed off my list and I just need to pay the balance right before the shower.
And here we are to Friday, finally! A few people are out of the office for the holiday including some clients, so it shouldn't be a crazy day. I am happy to have Monday off and ready to start my long weekend. Tomorrow Kanon starts his next cycle of swim lessons then we're driving to visit my sister and her family until Sunday. Bryant doesn't have to work until Tuesday, so on one hand he'll get a nice break, but he's going to have to try and keep up his night time sleeping schedule until then, which is the bigger struggle. My twin sister Monique has been reaching out to a few companies 7 brands that we use to see what type of programs, samples & coupons they offer for multiple family. Several she reached out to need the actual birth certificates, which i understand, but some don't require it. Im happy to say Aquafora/Euerin some of both!!! Thanks to them!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I'll try and eat as much as possible #goals!!
