Another week down!!! Fetal monitoring continued every day and my baby shower is on Saturday. Running to these appointments and juggling work has been a little of a challenge. I am glad I have someone covering me but still there are times I feel overwhelmed.
With my C-section fast approaching, I met with the doctor and went over my consent forms. There were even a few inconsistencies this week with the monitoring, but everything checked out. My first time going to Labor and Delivery threw me for a loop, because it's a slightly different procedure than what I've been use to.
Labor and Delivery treats you like you're being admitted to the hospital. I have to put a gown on, I get a room all to myself and it really gave me a sense of what it's going to be like once I deliver. What will be started week 28 is fetal is the Bio Physical Profiles, every Wednesday.
To locate and hear the girls heart beats the technicians don't use the ultra sound, instead they kind of fish and move around until they hear it. This odd technique actually has been working. Not to mention the girls are getting bigger and have less room to move around.
Friday, there was so many inconsistencies with Baby B, that they took me to Labor and Delivery for "extended monitoring". I had to have been there for any where from 2-6 hours. This combined with my earlier appointment means I was there from 8:50 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. I was tired, hungry and anxious with everything I still needed to do for the baby shower. I'm so thankful I had my younger sister with me, to not only keep me company, but keep me calm and get me anything I needed.
